Dorota Janczak is a teacher trainer at the Computer Assisted Education and Technology Centre in Warsaw (OEIiZK). She is the author of various computer courses for teachers of different subjects and stages of education, especially for preschool and primary educators. She specializes in using ICT in media and intercultural education and hosts many courses in this area. She promotes new ICT ideas among teachers and teacher trainers by participating in many Polish and international projects.
During the workshop the participants will learn how to use ICT with small children in a creative and safe way. They will produce their own media announcements: a movie and an animated speaking character.
They will learn how easy it is to use Photo Story 3 for Windows which lets even small children create interesting digital stories from images with motion effects and recorded narration.
They will also be familiarized with Voki, an Internet service that lets children generate animated avatars which can give messages to peers form other countries in the child’s own voice.
